What You’ll Do

 

The Marketing Analytics & Data Science Program Management Intern will support the execution and optimization of high-impact analytics initiatives that drive customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth. This role sits at the intersection of marketing, data science, and business strategy, providing hands-on exposure to how advanced analytics translates into measurable business outcomes.

 

The intern will assist the Program Manager and partner with marketing leaders, data scientists, analysts, and technology teams to help coordinate projects, track performance metrics, and translate complex analytical insights into clear, actionable business recommendations. This individual will gain experience in project management, stakeholder communication, performance measurement, and analytics-driven decision-making within a fast-paced, data-centric environment.

 

This is an ideal opportunity for a highly analytical, detail-oriented self-starter who is interested in marketing analytics, program management, and the strategic application of data science in financial services. The intern will contribute to initiatives that support scalable growth, operational efficiency, and continuous innovation while developing strong business acumen and executive communication skills.

  • Support the planning, coordination, and tracking of analytics and data science initiatives within the Marketing organization to ensure alignment with business priorities and timelines.
  • Partner with marketing, product, IT, and other cross-functional teams to gather requirements, document business needs, and support stakeholder communication.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to translate analytical findings into clear business summaries, presentations, and action plans.
  • Assist in quantifying and tracking project outcomes using defined corporate success metrics; help monitor project delivery efficiency and document performance insights.
  • Prepare executive-ready materials (PowerPoint and written summaries) that clearly communicate analytics-driven insights and recommendations to leadership.
  • Support the development and documentation of best practices for workflow management, reporting automation, and project tracking.
  • Serve as a coordination point between technical teams and business stakeholders to help ensure transparency and alignment.
  • Track key project milestones, risks, and dependencies; escalate issues appropriately and assist with mitigation planning.
  • Assist in managing multiple concurrent initiatives by maintaining organized project documentation, timelines, and status updates.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Maintain strong working relationships across teams and contribute positively in a collaborative environment.
  • Balance attention to tactical details while understanding broader marketing and organizational strategy.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail in documentation, reporting, and analytics validation.
  • Take initiative in identifying opportunities for process improvement, automation, and innovation within marketing analytics workflows.
  • Support exploratory analyses and experimentation efforts that may drive incremental sales growth, cost efficiencies, or improved customer outcomes.

Qualifications

Qualifications

 

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Economics, Finance, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Marketing Analytics, or a related field.
  • Strong academic foundation in data analysis, statistics, or quantitative methods.
  • Familiarity with analytics and data tools such as SQL, Python, R, Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of how analytics supports business decision-making, particularly in marketing, customer acquisition, retention, segmentation, or financial services.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to structure ambiguous problems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel; ability to create clear, visually compelling presentations.
  • Familiarity with project management or collaboration tools such as Jira, Asana, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Interest in insurance, financial services, digital marketing analytics, or customer journey optimization is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language.
  • Demonstrated leadership through academic projects, internships, or extracurricular activities.
  • Self-starter mindset with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of data governance, ethical data use, and privacy considerations is a plus.
