The Director will play a pivotal role in developing and executing marketing strategies within a specific life insurance product line to reach and engage specific customer segments identified by the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in direct marketing, exceptional project management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do 

 

Strategy Development:

  • Develop and implement creative and data-driven direct marketing strategies to reach and resonate with target customer segments with life insurance offers.
  • Analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitive intelligence to inform and optimize product marketing strategies.
  • Partner with internal research team and to inform learning objectives for direct marketing programs.
  • Lead a team of direct reports in collaboration with dedicated analytics resources to deliver on sales and profitability goals for life insurance products.

Campaign Planning and Execution:

  • Plan and execute the development of creative strategies for direct mail and digital campaigns including creative briefs, concept development, and creative approvals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of direct marketing initiatives with overall marketing plans.
  • Work closely with marketing operations team on the execution of campaigns developed in support of your dedicated product line.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Liaise with internal marketing and brand teams to ensure alignment with brand guidelines.
  • Manage external creative agencies to develop new creative treatments for testing across customer segments and product lines.
  • Partner with key stakeholders across the enterprise to ensure marketing approaches align with enterprise strategies include product, sales and member services.
  • Work closely with product organization to identify opportunities to improve offers and inform product development initiatives.

Data Analysis and Optimization:

  • Utilize analytics tools and performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of direct marketing campaigns.
  • Identify areas for improvement and optimization and make recommendations for strategies to enhance campaign performance.
  • Develop deep understanding on all analytic and financial measures relevant to life insurance products and campaign performance.

Budget Management:

  • Manage and allocate budgets effectively, ensuring that direct marketing initiatives deliver a strong return on investment.

Qualifications

What do you offer?

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or a related field is a plus
  • 10+ years proven experience in direct mail acquisition marketing, with a track record of successful campaign development and execution.
  • Omni-channel marketing experience in the insurance industry preferred.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis tools and a focus on results-driven decision-making.
