Who are we looking for?

 

AAA Life is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual with experience in the insurance industry and expertise in Power BI to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in developing, publishing, and maintaining Power BI reports to drive data-informed decision-making.

 

This role demands a detail-oriented professional who can develop, standardize, and optimize reports while ensuring the data presented delivers actionable insights, not just information. The candidate will also collaborate with data teams to help build sustainable datasets for reporting. If you have a knack for translating complex data into intuitive dashboards and possess deep knowledge of Power BI, SQL, and Excel, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities

How will you contribute?

Report Development & Maintenance:

  • Design, develop, and publish Power BI dashboards and reports tailored to business needs.
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency by integrating and transforming data from various sources.

Data Cleanup & Standardization:

  • Review and optimize existing Power BI reports to improve efficiency and user experience.
  • Establish and enforce report standardization protocols to ensure consistency across all deliverables.

Optimization & Insights:

  • Analyze large datasets to extract actionable insights and trends.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and provide data-driven recommendations.

Operational Data Management:

  • Lead resolution efforts when data issues are identified during report development.
  • Collaborate with relevant teams to develop and maintain sustainable datasets for reporting needs.
  • Prepare data requests and follow up with engineering teams to resolve potential issues effectively.

Collaboration & Documentation:

  • Work closely with internal teams, including IT, operations, and business leaders, to align reporting outputs with strategic goals.
  • Document processes, models, and changes to ensure knowledge transfer and operational continuity.

Qualifications

What do you offer?

  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, analytics or a related field
  • 3–7 years of analytics and reporting experience, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry.
  • Advanced expertise in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.
  • Strong SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and integration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization tools.
  • Ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable insights.
  • Keen attention to detail with a focus on data quality, operational troubleshooting, and report usability.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with non-technical and technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with other data visualization tools or platforms such Tableau, Qlik etc.
  • Knowledge of other programming languages such as Python, R etc.
