Who are we looking for?

 

Operating within the core values and operating principles of the organization, the primary function of the Manager of Forecasting and Financial Analytics is to lead forecasting, financial planning, and performance analysis efforts. By providing accurate projections and actionable insights, this position drives data-informed decision-making for senior leadership. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical expertise, business acumen, and a passion for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

How will you contribute?

Financial Forecasting and Planning

  • Lead the development, enhancement, and accuracy of short- and long-term financial forecasts and annual operating plans.
  • Manage quarterly/annual forecasts, scenario modeling, and sensitivity analyses to evaluate business risks and opportunities.
  • Partner with department leaders to align forecasts with strategic and operational goals.
  • Maintain and oversee the forecasting calendar, ensuring timely and coordinated updates across departments.

Analytics and Business Insights

  • Design and manage performance dashboards, tracking key financial and operational KPIs to enhance business insights.
  • Perform in-depth variance analysis and root-cause investigations to support financial reviews.
  • Create financial models to support new initiatives, capital investments, and strategic projects.
  • Provide analytical support for executive decision-making and board-level presentations.

Communication and Stakeholder Support

  • Effectively communicate financial insights by translating complex data into strategic recommendations for executive leadership.
  • Deliver presentations and reports that clearly communicate performance trends and forecast updates.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to cross-functional teams, helping them understand financial drivers and levers.

Team Leadership and Process Improvement

  • Manage and mentor a team of analysts, fostering a culture of accuracy, ownership, and continuous learning.
  • Identify opportunities to improve forecasting accuracy, streamline reporting, and automate manual processes.
  • Lead the implementation of forecasting and analytics tools, working closely with IT and data teams.

Qualifications

What do you offer?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
  • 5–7 years of progressive experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or related roles, including 1–3 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Expertise in financial modeling and forecasting best practices.
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong proficiency in statistical modeling and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Python).
  • Knowledge of financial regulations, compliance, and reporting standards.
  • Previous experience with statutory and GAAP accounting for life insurance preferred.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills; ability to engage effectively across various organizational levels.
