Who are we looking for?

The Senior Consultant, Operations Process Innovation will be responsible for driving and enabling productivity improvements through process improvement, automation, intelligent application of other technology solutions, workflow management, and effective change management practices. They will provide cross-functional leadership across Enterprise Operations and partner with leaders to identify enhancements that improve productivity. This role works to resolve the most complex issues related to process innovation to assist in achieving productivity improvements and expense containment, ensuring changes are executed with a structured approach that supports organizational adoption.

 

 

 

Responsibilities

How will you contribute? 

  • Gather and interpret data from large relational datasets to drive business insights, and develop creative solutions to improve productivity.
  • Apply expertise in process improvement, process engineering, intelligent automation, and change management to recommend and implement changes to operations that meet corporate objectives over the long term. Assist in the prioritization of effort and resources to achieve annual and long-term objectives.
  • Create business cases and manages projects from start through execution, measurement of deliverables, and the successful implementation of change initiatives.
  • Facilitate productivity improvement and change management initiatives with operational leaders to ensure seamless adoption of new processes, technologies, or workflows.
  • Motivate and direct team members to build cooperative project teams to conduct research and analysis to quantify business opportunities and issues; develops formal recommendations for presentation to management.
  • Leverage change management principles to influence all levels of the organization, gaining buy-in and support for programs, projects, and process innovations.
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships when interfacing with all departments, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and readiness for change.
  • Prepare budget estimates and projections for review by senior management. Monitor performance against expectations and recommends corrective action to mitigate or reverse unfavorable variances.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree   
  • Proven track record of applying process improvement and automation methodologies to achieve business objectives. Minimum of 5 years of process improvement and automation experience.
  • Expert knowledge of automation, process improvement and engineering disciplines.
  • Understanding of technology solutions which increase business automation capabilities.
  • Coordinating and controlling major projects using structured methodologies, and ability to independently manage multiple product/project initiatives simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently to resolve complex issues and projects while keeping stakeholders appropriately informed.
  • Advanced Proficiency in Excel or SQL 
  • Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt 
  • Certification in change management (e.g., Prosci, CCMP, or equivalent).
  • PM21

Preferred:

  • 2 years’ experience in supervision and leading teams in process improvement initiatives
  • Graduate degree in business administration
  • Familiarity with insurance operations and processing, preferably at a life insurance company
  • Experience in guiding the business application of RPA software solutions (ie. Blue Prism, MS Power Automate) and simple enabling technologies.
  • Proficiency in the use of a statistical programming language (R or Python preferred) for performing reproducible and auditable analysis.
