Overview

AAA Life is seeking a Manager, Marketing and Creative Services! This individual will lead the team in crafting copy, messaging, designs, and experiences that build awareness for AAA Life, educate consumers and AAA members on life insurance, drive consideration of our products, help engage and retain policyholders, and ultimately support organizational strategy goals.

 

This leader will be tasked with directing the content team and agency partners in the creation of compelling, actionable creative that’s driven by our marketing strategies, tells AAA Life’s brand story, and helps deliver key messages across a variety of tactics including, but not limited to social media posts, infographics, email, web banners, website components and landing pages, video and radio scripts, consumer toolkits and guides and more.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the business, business goals, and advertising guidelines.
  • Build and maintain brand guidelines.
  • Uphold AAA Life’s brand standards, style, and story inside and outside the organization in a variety of mediums.
  • Ensure seamless coordination among creative teams, copywriters, and designers for campaign delivery.
  • Encourage a culture of innovation and creativity within the team.
  • Oversee the creation of engaging and compelling content across different mediums that is high-quality and on-brand.
  • Manage content calendars and ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Support the maintenance of a living archive of creative/content work, and regulatory record-keeping requirements.
  • Coach the internal team throughout the entire content development lifecycle, providing editorial and design review of all content produced by the internal team, agency partners, and clubs—provide final approval or promote to leadership for final approval as needed.
  • Report consistently on the results of our brand and content programs, sharing learnings across teams and identifying areas of opportunity, focus, and future content development.
  • Engage with current policyholders and increasing adoption of self-service capabilities, lowering call volumes, and assisting in retention efforts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in marketing, preferably in financial services, life insurance, or comparable regulated industry
  • 3-5 years management experience or experience leading internal and external creative resources.
  • Seasoned storyteller with the ability to guide teams in the creation of meaningful, actionable creative that adds value for prospects and policyholders.
  • Deep knowledge of digital marketing ecosystem and how copy, messaging, and the overall digital experience contributes to goals and KPIs.
  • Strong understanding of UX/UI fundamentals.
  • Deep understanding of creative best practices, particularly for digital channels.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with MS Office programs and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement strategies and programs that support and help meet business objectives.
  • Proven ability to articulate creative thinking and lead creative teams or resources in the development of assets across the entire creative development lifecycle.
  • Must have a collaborative and team-oriented approach with the ability to build and manage ongoing relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Experience coordinating multiple projects with varying deadlines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Expert knowledge of all steps in the creative development process. Experience and knowledge of multiple channels, tactics, and mediums.
